Our Top Destinations
Tarangire National Park
Located about two hours southwest of Arusha by road, Tarangire is one of northern Tanzania’s most accessible wildlife destinations, and yet, it still manages to feel remarkably wild.
Covering approximately 2,850 square kilometers, the park is part of a larger conservation system that links with Lake Manyara, the Maasai Steppe, and migratory corridors that stretch toward the southern reaches of the Serengeti.
Serengeti National Park
The name Serengeti comes from the Maa word “Siringet”, meaning “the land that runs on forever.” It’s an accurate description of the landscape; open and endless. Spanning roughly 14,750 square kilometers, Serengeti National Park is one of the largest and most celebrated protected areas in Africa.
It lies in northern Tanzania, forming the core of the broader Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem, which stretches across the border into Kenya.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most unique wildlife destinations in the world. Its name comes from the Maasai’s onomatopoeic imitation of the cowbell: ngoro ngoro. At the center of this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the vast Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth.
It measures approximately 19 kilometers across and covering around 260 square kilometers.
Lake Manyara National Park
Tucked below the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park may not appear large on the map, just over 320 square kilometers, but it holds more variety and contrast per square kilometer than many much larger reserves.
The park is often treated as a stopover on the way to the Serengeti or Ngorongoro, but those who pay attention quickly realize that this is a destination in its own right
